Renee Beamer Obituary, Death – This morning in Lackawanna County, there was a collision that resulted in the death of a woman. According to the authorities, Renee Beamer, who was thirty years old and from Dickson City, was heading south on routes 6 and 11 in Dalton when she was struck by another car on the driver’s side. Sadly, Beamer did not survive the collision.
According to Paddy Devaney, the president of the student council, he began the process of generating money for the challenge by using his landscaping business. He also recruited several of his students to assist him in this endeavor. “I clean up leaves for profit, so I might as well gather a few student volunteers and raise some money, rake people’s leaves, and ask if they want to make a donation, and it goes toward this food,”
according to Devaney. The gifts will be distributed to over a dozen food pantries located in the surrounding area. “Last year, we gathered some data from our charity partners as to what this means to them, and a lot of them said it kept them through the holiday season, so the food goes in and goes off the shelf the next day,” according to Virginia Farrell. The fatal collision that occurred in Lackawanna County is being investigated by both the Dalton police department and the state police.
