Elmer Henry Obituary, Death – In addition to that, he enjoyed going fishing with some of his friends and coworkers, including Coy Bagnell, Clayton Ingersol, and Jack Bonsall. He had a lot of fun joking about with the other people he worked with at Estell Manor Park. Everyone, including his friend and neighbor Neil Caterina, as well as his canine companion Cooper, will mournfully miss him. “Now that we have said our last good-byes, the sadness surrounds my heart like a thick blanket of clouds.”

Elmer Henry, 66, a resident of Estell Manor, lost his heroic battle with cancer on Thursday, July 6, 2023. He fought the disease for a very long time. It is with great sadness that we share the news of his demise. Elmer spent his entire life in the same location, remaining a resident of Mays Landing, New Jersey, where he was born and reared. He is survived by his partner of 27 years, Linda Marie; his step-daughter Tonya Gustafson of Buena, NJ; his mother Betty Henry; his sisters Pat Williams (Bob), Kathy Hyer, Helen O’Shea, and Nancy Henry; and his brothers Carl Henry (Linda) and Jeff Henry. He is also survived by his step-granddaughter Tonya Gustafson of Buena, NJ. His father, Norman Henry, had passed away before he was born.

Elmer, or “Elmo” as he was lovingly known to his family, would look forward to going deer hunting every December. He was a passionate gardener who relished the opportunity to spend time tending to the lawn. Elmo’s lifelong friends Jimmy Mancuso, Joe Pertruzzi, Larry Herbert, and Tommy Keller were all avid anglers, and they often went fishing together.
